Jennifer Behr x New York Vintage Beverly Voilette

Evoking images of secret gardens, the Beverly Voilette is a testament to design elements that stand the test of time. For this collaboration with New York Vintage, Jennifer created one-of-a-kind designs using the collection's vintage millinery trims, including these hand-dyed vintage flowers, crafted of silk habotai, cotton muslin, and pressed velvet. The layered veiling is adorned with vintage Czech pearls from Jennifer's personal vintage archive, sent to a silk-wrapped thin headband base, which fades into the hair and allows the stand-out design to shine. Each piece in the Jennifer Behr x New York Vintage collection is one of a kind and any "imperfections" in the materials are intentional and part of the history of the trims and materials in this collection.

This partnership arose from Jennifer’s desire to create ornate headpieces handcrafted from vintage materials with a rich fashion history. New York Vintage’s collection is similarly world-renowned, incorporating archival couture RTW and antique accessories sourced across the globe. Jennifer worked with materials from New York Vintage's archives to create new pieces that carry forth the soul of vintage into modern and wearable ways.
