Each is plated with 18-karat gold and finished with an alligator clip for secure placement in the hair, and can be layered with multiple sets worn at once, and mixed with our Papillon Hair Clips set of two. The Collette Hair Clips are a set of two and made by hand in New York of 18K gold plated brass with French steel clip closures. We recommend treating these barrettes as you would a piece of jewelry, and storing in the dust bag when not in use. Avoid contact with water, perfume, and other chemicals, including hairspray, which should be used before placement in the hair.
