Highlighting one of the most iconic flowers throughout our collections, the Orchid Hairpin is created in a time-intensive, multi-step process, to achieve the dynamic finished look. To form this flower, silk duchesse satin is hand-pressed in New York using antique tools, and hand-wired to create the impossibly sculptural shape, which perfectly complements a look with sharper, modern angles. It rests on an 18-karat gold-plated hairpin, making it easy to slip in to any chignon. Dimensions: 4 5/8in x 5 1/4in + 2 3/4in pin
The Orchid Hairpin is made in New York of a hand-crafted silk duchesse satin orchid flower motif on an 18k gold plated durable light hair pin, designed to stay firmly in place. We recommend treating each pin as you would a piece of jewelry, and storing in the dust bag when not in use. Avoid contact with water, perfume, and other chemicals, including hairspray, which should be used before placement in the hair.
